Greece and Egypt in Downtown Nashville

After a week of vacation that was spent in Mississippi, we decided to go for a weekend date in downtown Nashville. It was our first time to stroll in the not so crowded streets of Nashville. We first went to the " Centennial State PArk " where the famous replica of the " PARTHENON" was erected. It was early morning when we got there, so there's not much of a crowd. BUt later on , lots of foreign tourists arrived. Anyway, inside the building are the huge statues of Greek gods and goddesses. WE also took picture of the well-renowed "Athena" and her shield with " Medusa". It was awesome. It feels like we really traveled to Greece. We also got the chance to see the Art collection of Elliot Daingerfieled and Gowan Collection at the basement of the building. Also within the state park , as we made a tour around it , we got the chance to see Lake Watauga and other monuments, botanical gardens, trellises, train and aircrafts. We had a great time and we're so glad that we went there. After seeing a bit of Greece, we flew out to Egypt by visiting Frisk: Center for Visual Arts . Their theme for this month is all about Egypt. It was a very organized and well planned museum. We learned a great deal out of that trip. So we therefore conclude that its possible to travel to Egypt and Greece and be back in one day!he..he..

Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park

After visiting Centennial State Park, we headed to Bicenttenial PArk to cool off a bit. It was a hot day today. We didnt know what to expect when we arrived there but we were amazed how many people were in there. The fountain was way cool. We really enjoyed it! It sure was great way to end our weekend adventure. We also get to visit the " FORT NASHBORO" or "FORT NASHBORROUGH " as others would spell it, during the day. It wasnt that big or famous but we thought it wouldnt hurt us if we go there and besides its for free.
